Design Marketing Group, Inc. (DMG) announces the launch and redesign of www.teakdecking.com, a new interactive website for Teakdecking Systems (TDS). TDS is the premier manufacturer of custom teak decks for yachts and ships, serving boat builders, owners and the marine industry since 1979. Both DMG and TDS are based in Sarasota, Florida.
The new website showcases Teakdecking Systems' technology and it's broad range of products and services including the new Eco line of products. The website also provides customers with educational videos and support tools.

VINCE NORTHFIELD JOINS DESIGN MARKETING GROUP AS PARTNER
Sanford A. Cohen, the founder of Design Marketing Group, Inc., announced July 1 that Vince Northfield has joined the Sarasota, Florida-based marketing communications agency as Partner and CEO.
For the past decade, Northfield has served as an executive officer of Teleflex Incorporated., a $2 billion diversified company with global operations and businesses serving the medical, aerospace and marine markets.
“DMG is approaching our 20th anniversary year providing customers with a full range of marketing and communications services to meet their business needs,” said Cohen, 43, a Ringling College of Art and Design graduate who founded the agency. “With the addition of a business partner, we are expanding the agency and investing in new media and emerging technologies to continue our successful track record of providing outstanding service to our customers.”
Northfield, 48 and a Bradenton resident, brings significant business and operational expertise to the agency as well as experience and relationships in our primary markets – medical, marine, automotive, and industrial.
Northfield began his career in the automotive industry based in his native London, serving in executive, operational and manufacturing roles for 15 years. He joined Teleflex in 2001, when it acquired Morse Controls. In 2004, Northfield was named president of Teleflex Automotive ($500m) then president of Teleflex’s Commercial Group (1.3bn) — automotive, marine, and industrial divisions — in 2005. In 2008 after successfully divesting the automotive and industrial division’s Northfield was named executive vice president of global operations for Teleflex’s Medical Group (1.5bn).

The DeNooyer Chevrolet Performance Division and Redline Motorsports will build and market 2011 MOTION 427 and 454 Camaros. A QR Code is a two-dimensional barcode that is readable by QR scanners and smartphones. The QR Code is a powerful marketing tool because it makes it easier and more convenient for consumers to access vendor information including multiple specifications and video.
The first client to utilize DMG's new service is PPi Technologies Group (PPiT). DMG will generate QR codes that, when scanned, will take users to a corresponding mobi website. Interactive Retail Store Display Design Prompts Orders
An interactive store display designed and built by Sarasota-based Design Marketing Group for the new West Marine Superstore in San Diego has prompted more orders from the nation's largest specialty retailer of boating supplies.
The display features the steering and engine control products of Teleflex Marine, which commissioned and paid for the display. Teleflex Marine, based in Limerick, Pennsylvania, manufactures mechanical and hydraulic steering systems, throttle and shift controls, marine electronics, engine and drive parts, and marine instrumentation for recreational and commercial boats. Sarasota-based Teleflex Electrical designs and manufactures instruments that are featured on the West Marine display.
Both companies are part of Teleflex, Inc. a leading global supplier to the automotive, marine, industrial, medical and aerospace industries. Headquartered outside Philadelphia, Teleflex, Inc. posts revenues exceeding $2 billion from operations in 27 countries. It employs more than 19,000 people worldwide, and holds 800 patents.
Design Marketing Group improved a prototype created this past September for West Marine's Fort Lauderdale store, said agency president Sanford Cohen.
